Mission

The Friends of the Daly City Library have worked for over 50 years to support the programs of the Daly City Public Library. It is a nonprofit civic organization established to foster closer relations between the Library and the residents of Daly City and to stimulate community interest in the activities of the Library. The Friends have received statewide and national recognition for their efforts on behalf of the Daly City Library.

The Daly City Friends of the Library present Library Director Carol Simmons with a check for $2,000 at the April 27, 2009 Daly City Council meeting. The money will be used to fund the Library's inaugural Adult Summer Reading Program.
